I was honored to be a bridesmaid in Amanda and Dave’s wedding yesterday. Their intimate ceremony took place in the family backyard and reception at The Valley House in Hudson where we all  danced the night away. Here are a few photos taken by Peter Matthews who is also a second shooter for Images by Kris.

As they saw each other for the first time they were showered with love and light rain but that didn’t prevent Shawna from kickin up her heels for some great photos. We started the day off at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights, followed by a stop at Rice Park and a Reception at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury. Despite the rain the entire wedding party pitched in to keep Shawna and Derek dry using umbrellas. They managed to  make it to the 18th  hole (for photos)  before cutting the cake. Following the toasts, the bridesmaids and groomsmen got the the party started and the energy  never left the dance floor.

Spending this morning with Erin and Madelyn was wonderful! I always love being around newborns because they are so peaceful and capturing the tiny  subtle things they do is a joy. Madelyn’s debut was a success and her photos look like her very own “work of art.” Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and hoping you enjoy these tiny moments…

Sarah and Marvin, although born in different parts of the world, fell in love in New York City. Their ceremony took place at B’nai Emet Synagogue (where the Coen brothers filmed “A Serious Man”) in St. Louis Park, followed by a reception at the Hilton Hotel in downtown Minneapolis. Many guests flew from out East , while others only had to travel a few miles. Regardless of where they came from to celebrate this gorgeous day, you could see in everyone’s faces the joy and excitement to share in this time. We had a fabulous time taking advantage of the great spots downtown and also inside the Synagogue for photo opts. Mazel Tov!

Rain, rings and romance … Amanda and Nathan didn’t let it rain on their (wedding) parade Saturday. Their day started out at the beautiful Panola Valley Gardens in Lindstrom where they had, yes, an outdoor ceremony followed by a reception at Ideal Hall in St. Paul. Although the skies were filled with rain the entire day, Amanda and Nathan, nature lovers at heart, didn’t hold back! You would think most couples would never consider taking their wedding photos in the rain, but they embraced the weather and because of that have gorgeous images that will tell a tale of showers, love and fun! I cannot begin to tell you how delighted we were when they said “let’s keep shooting” over and over again. We were really able to capture the true essence of the day and are especially excited to share these photos with you.

Enjoy!

Blue skies and gorgeous greens made for a lovely outdoor ceremony as Kristine and David tied the knot Friday evening. Their wedding ceremony and reception took place at Eden Prairie’s Bearpath Golf and Country Club.  From a  playful golf cart ride to a Romantic Sunset on the bridge, these special moments made for an amazing day that we were fortunate enough to a have been able to capture.

We would like to with Julie and Josh a Happy 1 year anniversary. I still remember their wedding like it was yesterday! Julie’s dress looked like one of a kind, absolutely gorgeous and PERFECT for her, and their entire wedding party was relaxed and wonderful to work with. They had a very personal and intimate ceremony outdoors at Lake Elmo Park Reserve and the reception followed at Tartan Park Country Club. Wishing them another year of wonderful memories…
