What do you get when you mix a little finger paint with a 9 month old… Finger paint madness! We added a little color to Madeline’s session in my Minneapolis studio by allowing her to use her toes and fingers to create her very own artwork. Her colorful look was complete with custom bloomers and headband created by her mom and grandma, Heather Baldridge of Custom Sewing by Heather. Enjoy…

Legend has it that rain brings good luck to a couple on their wedding day and that proved true for Kiristin and Brian on Saturday. They were blessed as close to 100 family and friends watched as Kiristin and her father, under the cover of an umbrella, walked down the aisle to their ceremony at the Centennial Lakes Amphitheater. As the rain let up, I photographed the wedding party and gorgeous couple around Centennial Lakes green and architectural grounds. As the bride and groom took off to their reception in a beautiful white Bentley I jumped in the front seat to capture their emotion along the way. At The Westin in Edina, the couple mingled with guests before they were ushered into the elegant ballroom for their dinner, dance and party. Kiristin and Brian hit the floor with several first dances and the DJ kept the guests on the floor for a great evening of fun. Enjoy…

I was fortunate enough to have spent one of the nicest days of the summer outdoors with such a wonderful couple, Aditi and Justin. Their Engagement Session took place near St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis which has an abundance of unique shooting spaces. We started off on Main Street and ended on the Stone Arch Bridge, one of their favorite local spots. We had many laughs and Aditi shared many of her wedding details with me- I can’t wait to capture them all
Enjoy..

I had the opportunity to photograph a mini session with Steph and Jeff just days before he left for National Guard training on a deployment to Kuwait. We met at Como park in St. Paul and Jeff was dressed in his National Guard fatigues. We captured some great photos when Steph donned a bright red shirt showing support for her soldier-boyfriend. Thank you Jeff for your service and I look forward of photographing you both upon your return.

When my long-time friend Brian asked me to cover his wedding, I was excited to be able to take an important roll in his day. Heather and Brian were married at Saint Jude’s Church in Mahtomedi yesterday and I often found myself holding back tears throughout the joyous day. When Brian walked his mother down the aisle, I had to take a deep breath and fight to keep my eyes dry to capture the important memories of the day. Friends and family packed the church and headed to the reception at White Bear Country Inn while we headed off to Cup & Cone and a quick bar stop in White Bear Lake. The wedding party enjoyed wonderful cool treats on the niecest weekend of year. After a few drinks to celebrate Brian and Heather, we arrived at the reception where the wedding party marched into the room to cheers. Each table was adorned with it’s own cake, which the guests dove into after Heather and Brian cut their cake. As the dances began, I again had to hold back the tears as Brian and Heather danced for the first time as husband and wife. It was bittersweet to be able to capture these precious moments. As the party got rolling, the dance floor was packed with revelers who kept going all night long. Enjoy…

I just loved working with this couple! They were adorable together and so much fun to photograph. Andrea and Jake’s Engagement Session at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis was the perfect combination of scenery, architecture, and love. We even ended the shoot with a little “splash” in the Mississippi

We had such a beautiful day for this creative family session in Minneapolis. The Kirvens started their session at Mill City and ended with a walk on the Stone Arch Bridge. We even made a pit stop so the boys could watch the boats go by. The boys were so silly and fun and this relaxed atmosphere really made their personalities really shine through. Enjoy…
