My Journey
I became passionate about photography at the age of 15 when I started working for a photography studio in Minnesota. I began my career in photography taking pictures of children, high school seniors, families, animals, and friends.
After I graduated from high school, I knew I wanted to further my career in photography. I moved to Santa Barbara, California, and attended the top photography school in the country The Brooks Institute of Photography. It was at Brooks that I obtained a four year Bachelor of Arts degree in professional photography. While studying, I worked with some of the best photographers in the country as well as modeling agencies in Los Angeles.
I then moved to New York, where I did an internship with well known celebrity photographer, Mark Seliger, after graduating from Brooks in 2004.
I lived on the East Coast for two years working with fashion and advertising photographers. Working on the East Coast was where I found my love for weddings. I learned through my own professional experiences that my love for beauty and fashion could be fulfilled, by creating the picture perfect memories of modern day fairytale weddings. My dream has taken me places I never thought I’d be.
I moved back to Minnesota, “my roots,” in 2006 to continue my journey in photography. I opened up a new studio in the Northeast Minneapolis Art District in May, 2010 to expand my business even more and have been loving every second of it! My newest journey has been the venture into Destination weddings and what an amazing experience that has been. I have been given such a special opportunity to follow my clients throughout their life adventures and capture their memories along the way. Photography has given me the opportunity to create memories that will last a lifetime. I look forward to meeting you!
