Julie and Rob looked amazing on Saturday as they exchanged their vows in front of a very intimate gathering at the Como Park Conservatory. The cemermony took pace inside the Sunken Garden, with vibrant colors that any artist would love to see on their palette. The couple shared much laughter and their excitement was visible as they held hands in front of their closest family and friends. Following our photo session around the Como Park grounds, the couple joined their guests for the reception which overlooked the glowing beauty of the conservatory as dusk settled on St. Paul. Everyone shared in the laughter as toasts were given. Shortly after, they kicked off their heels and danced into the last hours of March 19 – the date that Julie and Rob will always remember with much happiness and love

The pictures are just stunning. Julies looked like a Princess and Rob looked like a Prince. Absolutely Beautiful. Best Wishes and All of Love and Happiness to them,

Check out this winter senior session! Amy had envisioned her senior photos being taken in the snow and that is exactly what we had. She braved the cold and we captured amazing photos! We started her senior session in our Minneapolis studio and finished up at Mill City. Enjoy…

Friday’s winter storm made for a beautiful winter wonderland to photograph Bre and Jeff’s wedding. They exchanged their vows on the alter at Glen Cary Lutheran Church, where Christmas trees filled the background.  The wedding party walked through the fresh snow to create many memorable photos.  The decorations included holiday bulbs in the centerpieces and candy canes for each of their guests. Holiday lights illuminated the grounds as Bre and Jeff wore santa hats for some fun portraits outside.  The fresh snow also made for a magical and illuminating backdrop for their reception at Rush Creek. Enjoy…

Kris was so much fun to work with and made Erika feel like a fashion model. You can see how at ease she felt in these photos that turned out so beautifully! What a great way to end a senior year — with a creative and cool photo for others to remember you by! We may book her younger sister a year in advance of her senior photo! Erika’s mom, Tina

Sarah and Neil had the perfect day for a fall wedding in Minnesota yesterday. The afternoon’s light, shining through the brilliant stained glass windows, illuminated the interior of the Olivet Congregational Church where close to 200 of their friends and family watched as they exchanged their vows. We photographed the wedding party in Rice Park, as the rays from sunset bounced off of the downtown buildings. Sarah told me how she once performed at the Ordway Theatre, so we took advantage of the last minutes of sunset to photograph them outside the theatre. The reception started inside the 317 on Rice where the dark wood interior contrasted with the beautiful sunlight of their day. Their wedding favors were personalized in a most unique way — a small brown shopping bag filled with treats, marked with “Oxendale’s,” printed on it. That’s the name of Neil’s Oxendale Market in Minneapolis.

I love working with couples who believe in creativity, such as bringing a pumpkin to your one-month olds photo shoot! Melissa and Denton came to our studio with their beautiful one month old Madeline and Daisy  their Beagle. As we hit the streets around our studio, we placed Madeline into the freshly cut pumpkin for a series of adorable photos. We also photographed Madeline in the same gold tutu that Daisy wore for her photos at Melissa and Denton’s wedding that we photographed in 2007. Inside, we created amazing images of Madeline in several really fun outfits and tutus! Melissa and Denton always make our day of shooting so much fun and I am very  lucky to have met the newest addition the the Porter family!  Congrats to you both! Enjoy…
