As they saw each other for the first time they were showered with love and light rain but that didn’t prevent Shawna from kickin up her heels for some great photos. We started the day off at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights, followed by a stop at Rice Park and a Reception at Prestwick Golf Club in Woodbury. Despite the rain the entire wedding party pitched in to keep Shawna and Derek dry using umbrellas. They managed to  make it to the 18th  hole (for photos)  before cutting the cake. Following the toasts, the bridesmaids and groomsmen got the the party started and the energy  never left the dance floor.

Rain, rings and romance … Amanda and Nathan didn’t let it rain on their (wedding) parade Saturday. Their day started out at the beautiful Panola Valley Gardens in Lindstrom where they had, yes, an outdoor ceremony followed by a reception at Ideal Hall in St. Paul. Although the skies were filled with rain the entire day, Amanda and Nathan, nature lovers at heart, didn’t hold back! You would think most couples would never consider taking their wedding photos in the rain, but they embraced the weather and because of that have gorgeous images that will tell a tale of showers, love and fun! I cannot begin to tell you how delighted we were when they said “let’s keep shooting” over and over again. We were really able to capture the true essence of the day and are especially excited to share these photos with you.

Enjoy!

We are thrilled to announce we will be opening a new studio this May in the NE Minneapolis Arts District. We are very grateful and fortunate for this opportunity to expand our business and offer a variety of more shoot options and sessions in an area surrounded by other talent artists of every genre.

We receive many requests from our wonderful clients for additional portrait sessions which include: newborns, seniors, families, bridal studio portraits and pets. We are very fortunate for our customer loyalty and trust, which allows us to be more and more creative and stay on top of what’s new out there and also allows us to be there for your most intimate and special moments of your lives. Not only are we blessed to be a part of your Wedding Day, we also get to experience your “life steps” with you and are truly grateful.

Our new space will allow us to create artful images both inside and outside the studio. We can’t wait to share this “raw” and amazing space with you! We of course will always offer location shooting in your desired area, along with combination shoots both in studio, and on-location. Our new expansion is simply an extension of what we have been doing, and  what we will continue to do to provide you, your friends, and family with images that tell “your life story.”

We invite you all to celebrate this new journey with us!

Many have been asking and yes it’s true! Pete and I were married in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica on February 19. We had close to 40 of those most near and dear there to share our day.  We started our adventure the week before the wedding with a group of friends and family, followed by a week of wedding events which included a bachelorette sunset sail on Wednesday, Manicures and Pedicures poolside & a welcome dinner with our guests on Thursday, the wedding on Friday and then a “Trash the Dress” shoot early Saturday morning followed by a honeymoon on the Osa Penninsula.

Many of you asked “who would you ever trust to shoot your wedding??” Well the answer is Sara and Ryan Photography based out of Los Angeles: http://sandrphoto.squarespace.com/.  I went to college (Brooks Institute of Photography) with them both and have been good friends with Sara for 9 years. Their style and talent is insane! Sara is a “lighting queen!” There was never a question in my mind who I would choose to document my special day! Just like all of you, I did not make this decision lightly and chose the person I could trust most to capture “our special moments.”  We also chose to capture our day on video and once again we knew right away who we would want to document our day. Dave & Audrey Merfeld of Twin Cities Video & DVD-They were amazing and a blast to work with! We can’t thank them enough. I highly recommend checking them out if you have an upcoming wedding: http://www.twincitiesvideo2dvd.com.

Thank you for all of your kind words and comments, and also for your patience while we were out of the office for 3 weeks! Since we are lucky enough to share in so many of your special moments, we wanted to share some of ours with you…

Kristi & Pete

This was our first Winter Trash the Dress shoot and we had a blast! Although a cold day were able capture some hot photos! We started just before daybreak at an old grain elevator, then moved on and climbed down to Minnehaha Falls and finished with Ice Rescue in St. Paul. It is always great to work with clients who crave creativity and don’t mind “getting dirty.” Props to Amy Stutzriem for making this shoot extra special with her fabulous makeup style. She really made the look complete. Contact us for more information on Trash the dress shoots.
